Wonderful place to learn about the purpose of life and our Heavenly Father's plan.
I have been attending church in this congregation for about almost a year. The congregation has many grad students, but there are also people in every other age range. There are many, many children, making it a great congregation for families with younger children. Everyone has been very kind and I felt at home right away, even though I'm much older than many of the other members and visitors. Instead of a single minister giving a sermon each week, anyone who is a member and in the congregation might be invited to speak and there are two or three speakers each week. I love the diversity of ideas you get from having different speakers each week. I have heard the classes are really well-taught, although I've chosen to work with the toddlers during class times, so I haven't had much first-hand experience with that. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone searching for a church home that is welcoming, friendly, and Christ-like.
My wife and I just moved to this church from another state and everyone has been so welcoming! The services center around Christ and how he has established his gospel on the earth. Topics include: faith, repentance, baptism, the gift of the holy spirit and enduring to the end.
Services are on Sunday at 9am. They always have holiday parties and the members are polite.
Cub scouts, boy scouts and weekly worship. We love the Jarrettown ward!
